MANGO AXLE PROBLEM

AXLE PROBLEM

OK I have been very quiet about this, as it’s a bit
embarrassing, but now I will reveal all.

Sometime after I got the mango, and got some miles on it
there was a noise from the freewheel

So I took the back wheel out to have a look and changed it.
What I did not realise is when I took the axle out the large nut came undone
and I did not realise when I replaced it left out a 2m washer that was behind
it and run up against the baring, so when I put the axle back in and did it up
on the swinging arm side it left a gap and there for there was play in the
wheel on the axle, and I did not spot it.

So for around a year I was riding it like that, and in the
end I started having problems with the new freewheel to the point when I
finally took it off to have a look it flee apart as I took it off! Sinner
rushed me a new freewheel out, and I set to putting it on and replacing the
wheel and axle, then When I was inspecting it I noted the free play, and had a
word with harry at Sinner. And he pointed out that it should not be like that
and then I realised as he explained that the nut should have a washer on it and
I knew there was not one there. So I attempted to take the wheel off again
after I had run it on a test ride, that was a mistake, as when I got back and
started to dismantle it again to have a look if I could replace the washer, as
I had re lock tighten the nut back on!

Well that’s when the problem started the axle would not come
out? 8 hrs later I gave up really I tried for 6 hrs to get it out! Then I asked
Harry as the only way I could think was to saw threw the axle!

Harry explained that they had thought of this and that is
why there is a threaded hole in the nut inner, to pull it out, I had mist that
completely ?! Fool I am. Sinner rushed
out an axle for me and I got it yesterday, so to day I laid out all the tools
and had planned out how to attack the axle using the thread, I will leave it to
the Video now, as I made a video to explain what happened to day.
